Exciting news

eally exciting news. I am not sure everyone would know this, but with my big mouth and my willingness to share more than the average person. It wouldn't surprise me if you did. Anyway back to the exciting news part. Jillian and I have been waiting for the right time to start looking into adoption. And we feel like now is the right time to get started, as the process can be very long. So last Jillian and I went to a meeting/presentation last night at A place called Amara.

Amara is a non profit organization that helps bring children and adoptive together. Jillian found this organization a while ago and after the presentation last night Jillian and I were sold on Amara.

This will be a long arduous process, so let me answer a few questions that you may ask:

Why adopt?
Jillian and I would love to provide a warm loving successful home/life to a child that would otherwise not get one.

How long will it take?
It will take approximately a year give or take depending on your situation.

What is the next step?
Well Jillian and I will probably start taking some classes that are mandatory. But the first major step is on March 5th. And this is when we meet with our adoption agent who will be handling our case from the start to the finish. I think the relationship you develope with your agent can really make you process go smoothly.

What age do you want to adopt?
Between 1 and 3. Jillian and I are not looking to adopt a new born, which can take years. But that is not the reason we are not looking at a new born. We are more than likely fertile and we would hate to take away that chance from anyone who is unable to have a child of their own.

So I guess that covers the basic's if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
I am going to try and keep up to date on this process so everyone feels like they are apart of the experience, as if Jillian and I were having a child through birth.

Much Love Matty

Inner tubing

It was a cold winters day. Well actually not really for here it has been suprisingly warm for here. Despite the terrible snow conditions. Jillian and I decided to take Big Poppa winter inner tubing as a Christmas present.
Being that Big Poppa had never been before he tried every technique under the sun from the belly flop to the multi spin.
We all had a great time.

It's the small things

It's the small things in life that can make the difference. My boss randomly just gave all the employees a squeeze toy, mine is a rocket. Made my day.

Cup cakes

Last Saturday night our friends Noah and Vaneeta(they are a couple) had joint b'day party. It was great night with great friends but the most memorable part was the cupcakes our friends Teigan and Trevor made for Noah. It seriously played with your mind. I kept expecting to bite into an onion.
